Braden was born in Medford, Oregon in February of 1992, raised by his father, Mike, along with his sister, Morgan, and brother Dustin, who was also an exceptional baseball player at North Medford. Braden played three sports up through high school (football, basketball, and baseball) until he reached his junior year when he decided to focus on baseball primarily.

Accomplishments:

  • 2009 North Medford 1st Team All American
  • 2009 American Legion World Series team and all-around tournament player
  • 2010 Western Athletic Conference All-Conference shortstop
  • 2012 WAC Pitcher of the Year
  • 2013 Golden Spikes candidate and top 5 finisher
  • 2013 Mountain West Pitcher of the Year.
  • 2013 Rowlings All-Region 1st team collegiate player
  • Drafted as 15th overall selection in 2013 first player drafted by Arizona.
  • Highest drafted player ever out of the University of Nevada, Reno
  • 2015 number one prospect in Diamondback organization and MLB number 19 overall prospect.
  • 2016 made MLB debut against the Milwaukee Brewers, followed by his first win in his next start at Dodgers Stadium, throwing 6 shutout innings
