EJ Singler, Medford Sports Hall of FameBackground:

Raised in a family of athletes, E.J. was a multi-sport athlete excelling both in basketball and football through high school at South Medford.  He learned early on there is no shortcuts to the road to success and in order to win, it takes a team, not an individual. He understood working hard, putting in the time, committing himself to be the best teammate would lead to good things. EJ’s hard work earned him 1st team honors in both football and basketball his Sr. Year at South Medford as well as Oregon State Player of the year honors in Basketball.  EJ earned a full ride to play basketball at the University of Oregon where in his Sr. Year he was 1st team All Pac-12 and Oregon made it to the Sweet 16.  By his last year of playing professionally, E.J. was truly at his very best.

Accomplishments:

  • 2007 starter on South Medford championship team and 2nd All-Tournament selection.
  • 2009 Southwest Conference Player of the Year; 1st team OSAA All-Tournament selection.
  • 2009 Football: EJ earned 1st team all-conference, and 1st team all-state as a tight end.
  • South Medford’s #3 scorer and #2 rebounder in school history.
  • OSAA 6A Oregon Player of the Year and Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year.
  • Earned full ride scholarship to the University of Oregon to play Basketball.
  • In college, as a junior, 2nd team All-Pac 12 selection, started in all 34 games for the Ducks.
  • Sr. year, EJ was a 1st team All-Pac 12, captaining the Ducks to the NCAA Sweet 16 round.
  • 8th player in school history to amass over 1,500 points and 500 rebounds: ranked 6th at Oregon in free throw percentage – .848%.
  • Set Oregon record for games played (142), starting 95 out of 105 games.
  • Semi-Finalist for the Eddie Sutton Tuskegee Award (national award); selected to play in the Reese’s All-Star game for top seniors nationally.
  • Played 8 years professionally, 3 years in the NBA D League and 5 years overseas.
  • 2013 invited to 2 NBA summer leagues, Detroit and Portland.
  • 2014 was NBA D League three point champion.
  • 2017 started for the NBA D League Toronto Raptors 905 which won the league championship. EJ played over-seas in Estonia, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, and Australia.
