William David Singler, Medford Sports Hall of FameBill Singler is joining his father, Bill, and his grandfather, Rudy, by being inducted into Medford’s Sports Hall of Fame as Charter members. Bill was a three-sport athlete all through his twelve grades in Medford, as were his father and grandfather.

Bill became a high school All American and All State in both football and basketball; holds the state playoff record for touchdown receiving championship game – 3 (1969); was a shrine game participant in 1971 holding State Record for T.D.’s in playoffs – 7; held the school record for points in single basketball game for many years – 43 points (1971); his career average per game was 20 points.

Bill attended Stanford University where he was a three-year starter (33 games) as wide receiver 1973-74-75. He made 1st team All-Pac 8 receiver in 1973 and was co-captains a senior in 1975.He was selected to play in the annual Blue-Grey All Star football game as a senior. The game was held in Montgomery, Alabama and Bill scored the winning T.D. (52 yard pass) in last 25 seconds for a North win. His selection as a high school All American followed him through to his very last game.  As of 2023, Bill has served as Head Football Coach for South Medford High School for the past 25 years.
