Rod Rumrey
Rod graduated from Newberg High in 1965 as a 3-sport athlete, achieving All-Conference in football and basketball. He held the scoring record at Newberg with a high of 38 points. He attended Olympic Junior College and transferred to SOC, graduating in 1969. Rod was 1st team All-Conference at wide receiver and set a 2-year record for most receptions at Southern Oregon.  He also attained All-Conference at shortstop and was team Co-Captain. After stints as head football coach at Glendale High and Sweet Home High, he became the head football coach at North Medford in 1988, winning a state championship in 1993 and runner up in 2000.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- 94-62 record in football as head coach at North Medford School, 2003 State Champions
 - 10 state playoff appearances in 15 years, 12 winning seasons
 - State Football Coach of the Year 1993 and 2000
 - Conference Coach of the Year 3 times; NFCA NW Regional Coach of the Year 2001
 - Finalist National Coach of the year 2002; 5-time Shrine All-star game Coach of the Year
 - Varsity assistant Softball Coach 19 years; 5 OSAA championships, 97,98,02,09,2012
 - 10-year Rod Rumrey Scholarship Golf Tournament Chair
 - Medford School District Unsung Hero Award
