Mike “Vandy” Vanderhoff’s basketball skills were first noticed as a 10-year-old 5^th grader at the South Medford Hoop Camp. Coach Dennis Murphy recently stated that Mike was one of the top 3 payers he has coached in the 37 years of coaching. Vandy finished his Panther career as the leading scorer in the program. Today he ranks 4^th in total points (1228), 9^th in assists and #1 in steals in the 24-year history of South Medford basketball in 3 years of varsity action. Mike played basketball at Western Oregon for 3 years, garnering 3^rd team and Honorable Mentions All-American honors.
