Louis J. Budge

Louis J. Budge, Medford Sports Hall of FameLouie attended Medford Senior High School and achieved many swimming awards for his high school, the ultimate being the OSAA 100-yard freestyle Championship in 1964. While attending Brigham Young University from 1966-1968, he competed in the 1967 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Dallas, Texas.

From the years 1968-1970, Louie attended Southern Oregon College in Ashland where he was a standout on the swim team. He competed in 1969 and 1970 at the NAIA National Swimming Championships and was selected NAIA All American.

Still swimming strongly, Louie swan in the 1982 National Masters’ Swimming Meet, held at the Mt. Hood Country Club, Gresham, Oregon and competed in the 1st annual Lake-of-the-Woods Triathlon, (now held at Howard Prairie), Placed 20th overall.
