Jerome Lee
After a five-year layoff from bowling, Jerome Lee received a phone call asking him to consider bowling in the 1988 Oregon State Men’s Tournament being held in Klamath Falls. After working on his job all night (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) he drove to Klamath Falls and bowled all three tournament events the same day. A 608 series in his team event got him warmed up. He then fired a 717 series to move into first place in Singles. In the doubles event, Jerome was paired up with Marlon Alvis of Eugene and they posted a winning 1330 total. Jerome’s three sets added up to a winning All Events score of 2005, which earned him a paid entry to the ABC Masters in Topeka, Kansas in April 1989. Again in 1990 the two men teamed up for the Class AA Oregon State Men’s Bowling Tournament held in Hillsboro. They captured 1st place title once again, setting a new Doubles Record of1573. Jerome also won the Class AA Singles Title with a 769 and placed 2nd in All Events with a total pin count of 2175.
