Clare "Tully" Williams, Medford Sports Hall of FameTully was a member of the 1924 Medford High State Basketball championship team.

This team was selected to play in the National High School Basketball Tournament, held in Chicago. Playing nervously in the big time for the first time, Medford lost its first game to Florence, Mississippi, 27-25. Medford came back to win the second game in the consolation bracket from Boise, Idaho, 32-22. Medford was then eliminated from the tournament by losing to Birmingham, Alabama, 27-21.

Tully was selected as All-State guard in both his sophomore and junior years. A sportswriter described him as follows: ‘To his fast floorwork and careful guarding goes much credit for Medford’s victories. Noteworthy has his work been under the basket, when he takes the ball from the board and takes it down the floor to the forwards.”

Tully Williams is deceased, and no family member has been located for more detailed information.
