Angie Leroy Miller, Medford Sports Hall of FameAngie started her athletic career in Little League Baseball while attending Kennedy Elementary in Medford. She later played basketball in the YMCA youth program. At North Medford High she was a three-sport standout, starting all four years in basketball, softball, and volleyball. Angie earned a full scholarship to play softball at the University of Oregon.

Accomplishments:

Volleyball-

  • 4-year starter 1989-90 team MVP; 2nd team All-Conference; 1990-91 team MVP; 1st team All -Conference; 1991-92 1st team All -Conference; Player of the Year; 1992-93 team MVP; 1st team All-Conference; 2nd team All-State; selected to Mizuno State-Metro All-Stars Series.

Basketball-

  • 4-year starter 1989-90 team Most Improved player; 1990-91 team best defensive player: 1991-92 team MVP; 2nd All-Conference; 1992-93 team MVP; 3rd team All-Conference

Softball-

  • 4 year starting short stop 1989-90 honorable mention All-Conference; 1990-91 1st team All-Conference; honorable mention All-State; 1991-92 team Best Defensive player; Conference Player of the Year; 1st team All-State; 1992-93 1st team All-Conference 2nd team All-State, selected to play in the State-Metro All-Star Series
  • 12-time letter winner and four-year starter in three sports, while graduating in the top 5% of the Class of 1993 as a member of the National Honor Society
  • University of Oregon athletic scholarship in softball
  • Freshman year played outfield for the Ducks; sophomore started all 51 games.
  • All-Pac 10- 2nd team; junior year played second base, .965 fielding %; 2nd on team with .395 BA; 62 total hits; 2HR; 26 runs scored; 9 doubles; 25 RBI’s; PAC 10 Player of the Week; 1st team All-Pacific Region; All-American second team. Senior year 2nd base; .952 fielding %; nominated for the GTE All-American Softball team
