While at Medford High, Scott earned All-Conference and All State honors while playing quarterback for the “Black Tornado”. As a junior, Scott’s team won the State High School Championship by defeating Corvallis 27-0 in the final game. In his senior season, Scott leads his team back to the final game only to come up short to the same Corvallis team they beat the prior year. In his final high school year, Scott filled the airways by passing for over 1700 yards and 15 touchdowns.
