Jack E. Morris, Medford Sports Hall of FameJack Morris is one of the outstanding athletes from Medford High School that went on to fame in college and professional football. Jack was a three-sport athlete at Medford in football, basketball and track. He was an All-State football player and was a state High Hurdle champion his junior and senior year. He played in the State versus Metro All Star Shrine game and was chosen the outstanding back for the game.

Jack was recruited to play football for the University of Oregon playing his freshman year then he spent four years in the United States Air Force where he played service football before returning to the University to finish his college education. He was a starting fullback and played in the 1958 Rose Bowl against the University of Ohio.

Upon graduation, Jack was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams as a defensive back. After several seasons with the Rams, he was traded to the Pittsburg Steelers and finished his professional career with the Minnesota Vikings.
